REED Procurement & Supply Chain are pleased to be working with a well established and successful Newcastle based Manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and innovation who are seeking a Buyer on a full-time and permanent basis.
This is a newly created role due to expansion in their existing Purchasing team.
The salary on offer is £28,000-35,000 per annum DOE.
The working hours are 08:30-17:00pm.
Duties will include;
- Coordinate order processing and stock levels across a range of suppliers
- Ensuring accurate stock counts are maintained
- Liaising with Customer Services and Sales teams to ensure up to date information is recorded on product availability
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Researching and sourcing new suppliers
- Improve product costs
- Updating systems with change in materials and lead-times
- Any other Purchasing roles as and when required
We are looking for a confident, organised and experienced Buyer who has worked as a Buyer ideally within manufacturing.
My client are looking for 5+ years' experience within a Buyer role due to the responsibilities and expectations for this role.
You will need to hold a full, clean driving license.
