Position:   EMEA Supply Chain Planning Manager

Based:      Littleborough, United Kingdom

Reporting to the EMEA Supply Chain Planning Director, the role is responsible for the strategy and management of the Industrial Supply Planning teams including production planning, resource capacity planning, inventory policies and customer facing supply planning activities for all our Flavour Solutions business.

Primary responsibility is to ensure appropriate and optimal levels of inventory that support the objectives of superior customer service, product quality, total delivered cost and working capital targets. The role has the responsibility for the development, optimisation and execution of planning and inventory parameters, using SAP, APO and legacy tools. Furthermore, the position is an analytical resource to provide in-depth inventory and resource management for a large and complex portfolio of products. Leads supply planning activities for product life cycle management, including new product launches, reformulations and discontinuations. Acts as an influential member of the Central Supply Planning management team and associated Plant leadership teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of a total team of 8 - 10, Flavour Solutions Finished goods SKU's - 1300
  • Managing Inventory at Risk, mitigating write-off of $3.8m through effective Supply Plans,
  • Management of the planning, capacity and inventory parameters and heuristics for 30 packing lines across Littleborough, Haddenham and Dubai sites and selected co-packers,
  • Production Planning for NSV of $500m revenue,
  • Senior Member of regional Supply Chain management and Factory Leadership teams.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to all facets of Supply Planning teams, supply planning, inventory management, capacity planning, product life cycle change management, disposals, risk and Inventory at risk management, master data governance. 
  • Identify and implement improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, avoid and minimise supply disruptions, performance and reliability in the supply chain.
  • Responsible for the tactical and strategic inventory plans, set targets, manage year on year stock value / inventory turnover improvements to support Flavour Solutions targets.
  • Provide the drumbeat and leading energy for the implementation of the business unit integrated S&OP in the region for his business unit. Ensure the organisation is educated and clear about the S&OP process, drive and highlights continuous improvement in alignment with the Global Process Owner (GPO).
  • Together with the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) GPO, lead /drive and implement best in class standard ways of working in his/her area by leveraging the ERP functionalities, digital and analytics information’s, and Continuous Improvement technics.  
  • Ensure full performance transparency and ties with CI programmes.
  • Act as a regional reference leader in supply chain and work seamlessly with other functions and internal customers in the region.
  • Responsible for the tactical and strategic inventory plans, set targets, manage year on year stock value / inventory turnover improvements to support Flavour Solutions targets.
  • Lead with his/her team towards a best in class high performance organisation. Oversee development and coaching of departmental team members. Develop individual goals for direct reports and ensure alignment to functional OGSM's. Follow up and monitor progress of individual goals and adjust as necessary to changes in business priorities and objectives
  • Represent Central Supply Chain planning on local, regional and global projects, about Commercialisation, CCI and engineering changes.

PERSON PROFILE

Knowledge and experience

  • Business School or master’s in supply chain or logistics, business administration, or equivalent.  A relevant post graduate qualification in Supply Chain is desirable, but not essential. 
  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain Planning and S&OP practise in FMCG, background with proven track record of target focused delivery in fast paced supply chain environment, as well as leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of cycle count process, SAP. Experience of Production and materials planning and management.
  • Experience in fast paced FMCG work environment.
  • Experience of SAP /APO and other ERP tools, experience of ERP deployment.
  • Strong natural leadership with proven career successes and track record of achieving results.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Confidence and drive in dealing with complexity and change.
  • Customer focused.
  • Experience of inventory analysis and management, including managing and leading improvements in inventory turnover / stock accuracy and JIT / Kanban processes.
  • Experience of working within a range of business cultures, international assignment is a plus.
  • Previous multi-country operating experience is a plus.
  • At ease to navigate in matrix organization.
  • Project planning skills has demonstrated success of supply chain and major change management projects; plant construction, SAP implementation, acquisition etc.
  • Fluent in English. Another language is a plus.
