The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, co-ordinating and overseeing all aspects of the business in relation to the receipt, storage and despatch of clients products along with ancillary work carried out in connection with client's products. This is a permanent role based in Liverpool.

Description
The Operations Manager will report directly to the GM and typical tasks would include:
- Liaising with and instructing other managers including Warehouse, Transport, H&S, Admin
- Overseeing Administration, Warehousing and Distribution operation
- Ensuring operational best practice is adhered to at all times
- Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the workplace
- Liaising with existing and potential clients in relation to operations, terms and commercials
- Monitoring existing and planning future capacity requirements
- Overseeing planned maintenance of warehouse, equipment and MHE
- Monitoring staff performance and progress
- Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the work place
- Organising recruitment and training
- Dealing with disciplinary issues
- Develop, maintain and provide regular reports and statistics in relation to operation
Profile
The Successful Operations Manager Applicant:
- Previous experience within a Warehouse Management role
- Working towards BRC accreditation
- Food experience is essential
- Experience within a Multi-temp operation is desirable
Job Offer
Salary: £36,000
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday - Friday
Some weekend work and evenings are expected especially during peak
