Do you have, ideally, two years' experience within the transport or industry in a supervisory or managerial position, with proof of effectiveness?
Seeking a Transport Manager to work on a Fixed Term 12 month contract to manage my clients waste collection contracts at Heathrow Airport, working closely with the Contract Management team and transport office to ensure that they run smoothly, and customers receive the service they expect from Grundon.
This is a full-time job and the hours are 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, plus every third Saturday morning from 7.30am to 12 noon.
THE ROLE AS A TRANSPORT MANAGER:
- You'll supervise the team employed on the contracts, ensuring a high level of motivation and morale is maintained and that individual potential is encouraged and developed.
- You will obtain strong relationship-building skills.
- IT/cost-control skills and good judgement.
- You'll need a CPC ( Certificate of Professional Competence)
- A full driving licence (the job requires you to drive a van), ideally with LGV Class 2 entitlement.
