Procurement Category Manager (Software/applications) job with a Global Financial Service company in London
Your new company
You will join a Global Financial Service organisation based in London. They have a huge global footprint and are a reputable organisation to work for. They operate in over 60 countries and have around c.4000 offices around the world, employing over 200,000 people.
Your new role
You will work closely with the Global Category Manager in managing the category plans for the Enterprise Applications subcategory. You will continuously review and analyse category management plans to ensure optimal efficiency.
Naturally, your role at this level will involve a good level of understanding within the IT space, you will be responsible for constantly monitoring the supplier market and identify opportunities in terms of new product offerings and market shifts in terms of new/emerging suppliers. Mitigating risk and cost savings are important throughout your role, so you will need to be able to demonstrate examples of where you have achieved this in previous roles on a global scale.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need end-to-end procurement experience on an EMEA or global scale, specifically with software, licencing and/or applications. Needless to say, at this level you will need extremely strong stakeholder engagement skills and need to be a strong negotiator. Your CV will need to be detailed, showing that you have worked on strategic procurement projects focusing on IT Software.
CIPS qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
