IMPORT FREIGHT FORWARER- AIRFREIGHT & SEAFREIGHT OPERATIONS

£20,000 to £28,000 depending on experience

Import experience required -Seafreight and/or Airfreight

Based in the Redditch area

We are working with a South Birmingham based Multimodal Freight Forwarding organisation, with an extensive range of Freight Forwarding services to include Oceanfreight, Airfreight, Import & Export, Cross Trade, Domestic, Consolidation, Warehousing, Project Management, Cargo Insurance and Customs Brokerage.

The role of IMPORT FREIGHT FORWARDER will be to handle the Import Oceanfreight and/or Airfreight shipments, from taking the initial enquiry and making bookings with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Hauliers, overseas agents etc to processing all Shipping Documentation and creating Clearance instructions, Invoicing , Billing out maximising profitability and liaising with customers to answer all enquiries and keeping them updated throughout the shipment process.

For this role we are seeking a candidate who has gained experience of working in FREIGHTFORWARDING operations and is conversant in Seafreight and/or Airfreight Imports shipments. Possesses strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail and good knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry and is able to operate well in a small team environment, assisting colleagues as and when required to ensure customers are offered the highest level of service.
