An international specialist paper and plastics recycling company.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Our client has 2 fantastic opportunities for a recent grad and an experience Logistics Coordinator to join their team based in Leicester. Your primary role will be to ensure that day to day loading / collection of customer recycling materials takes place, meeting the demands of the business on a day-to-day basis. Full training will be given to both successful applicants.

  • Allocate and control vehicles including subcontractors efficiently to meet the operational requirements and ensure that the levels of resources are adequate to meet day to day requirements.
  • Ability to react to urgent customer orders
  • Processing all shipments to and from global customers and suppliers
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Organising hazardous and heavyweight shipments in order to comply with shipping constraints to gain the best price quotes
  • Adhering to all import, export and control procedures with Export Control Legislation
  • Guaranteeing all turnaround times are achieved and high quality service levels are delivered
  • Monitoring Logistic Administrators shipments ensuring they are handled in accordance with company procedures and meet all operational requirements
  • Assisting with knowledge sharing and development
  • Transfer and complete accurate paperwork for relevant shipment details and update IT systems when required
  • Assisting the Logistics Department with administration tasks

Person Specification

You’ll also have:

  • IT literate and experienced in using MS office
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to work with others to find common ground and to persuade them to support your initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in a fast paced environment/under pressure.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and a flexible approach to working in order to meet periods of demand in the business.
  • Flexibility to travel if/when required
  • Educated to A Level as a minimum

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Loigistics/Supply Chain/Import/Export/Shipping Experience: 2 years Minimum (Required)
  • Waste Management/Recycling/Materials Experience: 1 Year minimum
  • Driving Licence: 1 year (Required)
