Job Title - Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Department: Hexcel Operations

Reports to: Hexcel In House Supervisor

  1. Purpose of the Job:

To expedite multi-modal shipments on behalf of HEXCEL, whilst delivering strategic objectives of the group

We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated business professional with good all round knowledge of processing multi-modal shipments. The candidate will be involved in every aspect of very diverse transactional activities processed through the Hexcel operations.

The candidate should ideally have at least 2 years experience in international logistics and be qualified in shipping DG by Road and Sea, and must be able to hit the ground running.

SUPPLY CHAIN Arrange, control and finalise all activities relating to all modes shipments for HEXCEL:

? Manage Hexcel's Vehicle scheduling system - manage Goods in/ Goods out, and Thetford External Warehouse via shared Excel spreadsheet. Ensure all hauliers are given their particular UCR numbers and corresponding information to quote upon arrival on site. ?

  1. Key Activities:

Manage distribution of UK and EU freight

? Provide cover for Rest of the world shipments - airfreight & seafreight

? Order management - provide guidance and support with Hexcel orders and assist Hexcel with their on-time despatch.

? Forward planning and forecasting for hauliers - source information from Hexcel despatch reports regarding planned despatches for any given month. Track these weekly and assist Hexcel with optimising their dispatches to slot into planned reefer and/or groupage dispatches.

? Prepare Dangerous goods notes/ Movement certificates and Export declarations where appropriate - Road and Sea

? Letter of Credit presentations

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS

Purchase matching, Invoicing, Exception and Variance reporting

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Seek to identify opportunities to eliminate non value add activities from the Business, deliver a more responsive supply chain, and improve efficiency and reduce 'cost to serve'.

  1. Key Competencies:
  • Education 5 GCSE's
  • Professional Experience

? 2 years experience in international logistics

? Exposure to custom clearance procedures

? Dangerous Goods by Road and Sea qualification preferable

  • Technical Skills

? Excellent ICT skills to include Microsoft packages

? Knowledge of UK TMS advantageous

  • Behavioural Aptitudes

? Excellent communication skills both verbal & written

? Attention to detail

? Friendly, calm and professional manner

? Ability to handle pressure and good time-management

? Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team

? Self-motivated
