The Senior Operations Manager takes overall responsibility for all day to day management and growth of one of our client's key franchise brands. This entails responsibility for the successful business operations of all of the franchise partners within that brand.

A hands-on role, you will be working closely with the franchise partners to ensure that they gain every commercial advantage from the partnership and that their businesses flourish. This is achieved through:

  • Relationship management
  • Ongoing training and support
  • Business mentoring

Leveraging your own considerable commercial acumen, you will be proactively supporting brand partners, ensuring that they receive regular training on latest products, process change, legislation etc. In addition you will be providing them with consultative support and advice on managing their business, so experience in a senior leadership position within a small/medium sized business would be a requirement.

You'll also ensure that the franchisees have full access to shared services such as; marketing, finance and administrative support to enable them to gain a commercial advantage. It's vital that the partnership works so that franchisees benefit from all of the services and support available to them and this person will ensure that this takes place across all partner's accounts.

You'll have the support of an existing team to enable you to manage the brand successfully. The support team are based across two locations (including some remote workers) - Banbury & Manchester and there will be some requirement to travel to these sites, as well as to customer (franchisee) sites around the UK.

Skills/experience required;

  • Working knowledge of the franchise sector would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and previous experience in a leadership role within a small to medium sized business, with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong presenter skills and experience of developing and delivering classroom-style training.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
  • Dynamic problem solving & business mentoring skills with the ability to support and coach business owners.
  • General MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • UK driving license and some flexibility on working location.

If you feel that you have the experience, drive and commercial acumen that our client is looking for, as well as a working knowledge of the franchise business model, then we would love to hear from you.
