Sales and Logistics Administrator

£22-25k + pension, 36 days annual leave including statutory holidays, hours of work 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

The Employer

We are a small, niche, long established, highly regarded technology accessories (for phones, tablets, watches, speakers etc) business, based in well appointed, rural offices, now seeking to recruit a Sales and Logistics Administrator. This appointment will suit someone with some logistics experience, or at least experience in a busy, diverse (numerate) administration role. Role Scope

You will be tasked with the management of the sales order processing function, including operational and logistics responsibilities, to ensure the efficient turnaround on order processing and customer deliveries. Working in close contact with our suppliers, warehouse and customers, management of the logistics task will enable the transition between manufacturing and deliveries, ensuring a smooth and consistent supply chain.

The Tasks Assigned

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales and Logistics Administrator will conduct the following key functions:-

  • Manage stock with our local warehouse, to ensure accurate reporting and prompt deliveries to customers
  • Produce supplier Purchase Orders and corresponding PIs from factories, and plan mass production schedules
  • Liaise with our team in China, to coordinate production pre-release inspections and deliveries
  • Manage logistics with factories to ensure prompt release of goods for deliveries
  • Coordinate import/export processes, working closely with third party agents
  • Assist with fulfillment planning and product End of Life (EOL) management
  • Process customer orders, book into finance systems, produce pick and pack lists, prepare commercial and final customer invoices
  • Liaise with channel customers and maintain accurate information covering all aspects of product deliveries and backlog management
  • Management of product returns and stock rotation
  • Manage office stock room for samples and maintain accurate stock reporting

In addition to the Sales and Logistics duties, there will be some additional Office Administration support including:

  • Manage third-party office suppliers (facilities, stationery, business services etc)
  • Answering phones and meeting and greeting guests arriving on site

The Skills and/or Experience Required for the Role

Essential

  • Strong personal responsibility, initiative and integrity
  • High attention to detail
  • Computer literate, competent user of MS Word and Excel
  • Inventory management experience (preferably DEAR and/or Xero)
  • Experience of working in a small to medium sized business
  • Proven administration skills
  • Confident and outgoing, genuine customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

Desirable, not essential

  • Experience of manufacturing, import & export
  • Experience of multiple currencies - Sterling, Euro, USD
  • French language skills would be a bonus!

The Salary & Benefits

The Sales and Logistics Administrator salary is circa £22-25k, negotiable dependent upon experience. We offer a pension; our annual leave entitlement is a generous 28 days, plus bank holidays (usually a further 8 days). Working hours are 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday, free parking on site.
