Procurement / Materials Buyer

Precurement / Materials Buyer, £23,000 per annum

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Family run, manufacturing company, Based on the outskirts of Thetford

We are looking for candidates with previous Buying experience, ideally small, high volume components. My client will consider less experienced candidates; however, the salary will reflect this. Good training will be provided to someone hard working, reliable, focused & ambitious.

Main Duties:

• Liaising between production and material suppliers to ensure parts are being ordered to schedule
• Managing lead times to ensure that orders are delivered in full
• Building relationships and negotiating with suppliers
• Speaking to customer via email and telephone
• Maintaining computer systems and spreadsheets, including material and supplier databases

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience within purchasing essential
• Negotiation experience
• Aptitude to learn with the view of progressing within the company
