We are currently looking for a confident, dynamic and cost-driven In-direct Category Manager to join our Procurement Team on an interim basis for a 12 month period. This is a challenging role with responsibility for driving down cost across high spend categories that are fundamental to the success of our business.

With well developed procurement skills you will manage assigned in-direct category expenditure to ensure that annual agreed targets are delivered in full. Your commercial focus and continuous improvement mindset will support the business to drive cost from the operations and engage with supply partners to introduce new technology, innovation and ideas which deliver significant value to the business. As well as leading procurement activities within your specific business area, you will also contribute to the success of the business by developing category strategies and driving supplier performance.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have procurement experience gained within a large, multi-site, fast-paced environment with a good understanding of contract law and the ability to identify risks within the supply chain process. You will be a confident and capable influencer and negotiator with the capability to independently lead the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions of business. A strong teamwork ethic coupled with a natural ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders are also key requirements for this role.
