Role overview

GAMA Healthcare seeks an experienced, Demand Planner with extensive financial and forecasting skills. The successful candidate will understand the complexities of forecasting sales when selling through distributors. The ideal person will be analytical and personable, able to work with large amounts of data and other members of the team to support the company as it continues to grow and launch new products. The ideal candidate should be excited by the prospect of playing an integral role in the next phase of this organisation’s commercial and operational development.

Key requirements

  • Previous proven experience within Demand Planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office Proficient
  • SAP B1 or similar ERP software experience
  • Strong analytical, decision making and interaction skills
  • Relevant industry experience, ideally in Health or Medical Device areas.
  • UK Healthcare experience advantageous.

Who we are looking for

  • Experienced in a demand planning function in the FMCG / healthcare sector, preferably in a dynamic growth environment
  • Demonstrates proficiency in forecasting methods with knowledge of demand planning systems / software and statistical models
  • APICS or other forecasting certification (desirable)
  • Multi-national demand planning experience (desirable)
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace organisation
  • A confident communicator
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
  • Detail-orientated, hands-on, proactive, driven by sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Can handle a fast-pace environment with changing priorities.
  • Previous experience within Healthcare contract management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop demand forecasts through the review of historical sales trends and demand drivers.
  • Prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
  • Work with Finance on the Business Planning process (Budget / Forecast etc).
  • Interact with Sales and Supply Chain to understand demand forecast drivers utilise forecasting software.
  • Lead the practice using your experience to weigh up the pros and cons of how the demand planning process is operating.
  • Cover demand planning for the Australian distribution operation.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Team, updating the demand planning process as new products are launched.
  • Provide input to the supply planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase outs.
