Experienced Project Buyer / Procurement Manager required to join a busy Retail Design Fit out organisation. Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for efficient and cost effective purchasing of bespoke VM, working with leading brands and Retailers.

This role requires extensive communication skills as you will be liaising closely with key stakeholders within the business such as Sales, Design, Logistics and in cases the Clients directly.

Key Responsibilities:-

Ensure proper use of the procurement procedures are followed and follow up administration in order to provide others in the company with the relevant information.
Managing client and account manager expectations through dealing with new enquiries and repeat projects including prototyping, selecting suppliers, evaluating total cost of acquisition, negotiation, production/manufacturing and logistics.
Lead the projects to make them happen, problem solving, trouble shooting, risk assessments, offering up solutions, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality levels.
Build & maintain key relationships with internal stake holders & relevant supply chains.
Provide detailed cost tracking for all projects including a CVR at the end of each project.
Understand technical drawings both 2d and 3d, and translate these into a costing document.
Ensure proper use of the procurement procedures and follow up administration in order to provide others in the company with the relevant information.
ffectively manage budget of purchasing process ensuring that contracted costs are met and delivered through the suppliers to maintain best price.
Present quotes in a clear and concise manner within agreed timescales, highlighting any applicable exclusions and lead time issues.
Ensuring appropriate quality assurance is maintained at all stages of the supply chain.
Planning and overseeing on-site supervision of work in progress, where necessary.
Working with the Operations’ Manager on supplier development and performance initiatives on a world-wide basis.
Source, evaluate, recommend and develop potential suppliers based on your knowledge, research and experience.
Provide advice and intelligence to Designers and Sales staff on the external processes and services we manage, in terms of availability and prevailing commercial influencers.
Manage multi supplier projects through experience and knowledge within industry.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
Source and Purchase bespoke fixtures for projects from the Far East.
Negotiating experience required. Manage projects effectively with the ability to identify any concerns before they arise and communicate these with the Purchasing Manager.
Update Project Log daily and maintain clear communication to all departments, ensuring smooth completion of projects.
Deliver competitive costs, within required timescale and to the client brief.

Key Requirements:-

Minimum 5 years’ experience within Buying/Purchasing/Procurement within a Shopfitting Retail business.
Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings.
Good sourcing and negotiation skills.
Excellent organisation skills.
High level of attention to detail, with an energetic fast pace and able to perform under pressure.
Self-disciplined, logical, accurate and flexibility is necessary for this role.
Must be able to drive real savings through strong supplier negotiations.
High level of computer literacy.
High level of Excel skills and evidence of day to day usage.
Professional attitude at all times in both business and personal capacity, on their own and within a team.
Strong ability to work under pressure and maintain positive relationships where pressures are high.
