- Identify approved suppliers
- Tender for work
- Receive quotes from suppliers
- Select most appropriate supplier based on price and delivery schedule
- Resolve price discrepancies
- Raise purchase orders
- Negotiate prices
- Identify and meet existing and new potential suppliers
- Recommend new suppliers to production director for approval
