Having recently undergone a huge expansion and acquired some of the biggest household brands, my client is now leading European food manufacturer and seeks an ambitious procurement category manager to step into a newly created role at their global HQ in West London.

The procurement manager will be responsible for leading the strategy development across a range of direct spends including vegetables; co-pack and manufacturing with an annual spend of circa £110m. You will have the opportunity to travel around Europe, liaising with international suppliers and stakeholders whilst managing your own team of buyers based in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior buyer to progress their career to the next level - or a strong category manager looking for a new role in a world renowned FMCG organisation.

The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for:

• The end to end procurement process across vegetables; co-pack and manufacturing
• Development and implementation of strategic procurement processes to deliver significant cost savings to the organisation
• Working alongside senior stakeholders to benefits the wider organisation
• Negotiate with key suppliers to ensure the best rates and cost savings are being delivered
• Leading and developing a strong team of 4 buyers

The Procurement Category Manager will have:

• Proven track record of managing direct procurement spends preferably within the food industry
• Previous experience leading a team
• End to end procurement
• Degree + CIPS beneficial
