My client is a solid and successful growing UK Manufacturer who are looking to recruit an experienced buyer to join the team.
We are looking for a buyer with a a good track record and experience, preferably with a technical background in
electronics or PCBs or engineered manufactured products.
The environment is friendly and busy so someone who is self-motivated, structured and team player mentality is essential.
Responsibilities include:
Manage supplier relationships
Develop and implement a sourcing strategy for specific commodities
Project manage assigned sourcing projects including companywide NPI projects
Manage the quotation process ensuring quotations are received on time.
Manage supplier pricing, negotiation, cost models and key cost drivers.
To be a constant driver for cost reduction, continuous improvement and innovation within the business
Supplier selection / validation
Technical & Commercial authority for assigned commodities
Our ideal candidate will be committed, innovative and enthusiastic.
Desirable but not essential:
Electronics qualification such as Degree, HND/HNC or similar
CIPS qualification
