Our exclusive client is a privately owned manufacturing and sourcing business. Boasting an impressive blue chip customer base, they manufacture and supply a wide range of products for the Hospitality and Property sectors.

Reporting to the Managing Director and as a pivotal member of the management team, you will work closely with all functions including Sales, Production, Customer Services and Finance in delivering a commercial and efficient procurement service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of a small purchasing team.
  • Manage external suppliers of raw materials, components and stock items.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Deliver improvements in procurement processes and controls.
  • Report on stock and demand levels to maximise efficiency and working capital requirements.

This is a hands-on role which offers the opportunity for a talented purchasing professional to have a direct impact in a business.

Appropriate candidates will be purchasing professionals with previous experience in a manufacturing environment. You will have previous supervisory experience and a proven ability to develop systems and processes. A high degree of competence in Word and Excel are a given.
