My client is a well established specialist business who operate within the pharmaceutical sector. They are currently looking for an experienced inventory manager to join their senior management team to drive their operation forward. This is a Monday to Friday position managing a team of 10 inventory clerks.

Description

  • The successful candidate will operate on a dual site operation and will be responsible for Inventory Control.
  • The role is responsible for the management of stock including scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts, stock search, stock investigation of variance, stock write off reduction, and optimal space management.
  • The role's responsibility will also include research (outbound problem solving if pick are prevented by missing stock) and slotting activity to promote the reduction of replenishments and optimal putaway and pick paths.
  • Quality Assurance is also within the scope of the role, namely reduction in errors that drive stock variance.
  • This role includes regulatory compliance in terms of resolution of all Operational CAPAs, and ISO Quality Management System adherence, including plans for up to date Training Matrix, Work Instructions and SOPs.
  • A Quality and Compliance Team Leader will be part of your direct reports team. Responsibility also includes Kitting Operations
  • The IC Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the below tasks are carried out as required, managing and developing team members (including documented appraisals, and well-being TSM processes), promoting safe and best practice, the management of profit and loss for their cost centre and providing timely reporting and answer to queries, and ad-hoc projects as allocated by line manager or proxy.

Profile

  • Knowledge and experience of stock control management within a high-volume Distribution Centre is an essential requirement. At least 3 years' experience within a warehouse management role.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a successful team of stock control clerks.
  • Experience of implementing or improving process and CI.
  • Able to demonstrate in depth analysis of stock variance, stock movements and space management.
  • Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management system essential, as is the ability to apply best practice and solutions to optimize stock accuracy and movements.
  • Proven Leadership and supervisory experience of a large team (50+) is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate strong commercial, analytical and numerical skills for reporting, forecasting and problem solving.
  • Able to convey complex data and concepts to all levels of the organization in a manner that they are able to understand.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure to meet deadlines is a fundamental part of the job.

Job Offer

A salary between £35,000 and £45,000 dependant on experience + bonus, pension and holidays.
