We are a large construction equipment hire and sales company with several depots across the South and we are looking for a purchasing assistant to work in our busy Eastleigh office.

We are a multi-award winning family owned company, regularly winning including 'depot of the year' so its important that the right candidate is able to maintain an improve our excellent standard of customer care which is so important to us. 

The Role: 

  • Support the Procurement Manager and Purchasing Supervisor in managing relationship with key suppliers and resolve any issue on deliveries, product problems etc
  • Processing CRFs submitting by the Sales Managers, ordering equipment, tracking pricing, issuing invoices to customers, tracking payment from customers, supporting the logistics team.
  • Liaise with external field salesmen for pricing support, deliveries, any supplier problems, etc.
  • Support Purchasing Supervisor with reports to senior management and regional directors as required. Also responsible for looking for future developments of the purchasing system.
  • Undertake administrative activities required, including cover for absence within the Procurement Team.
  • Comply with the company’s Personnel, Quality and Health & Safety procedures

The Person: 

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • 3 / 5 Years experience in an Administration role
  • A good understanding of the construction industry
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure 
  • Attention to detail

Previous experience in a construction company or working within a sales environment is an advantage.
