Support and Training Consultant, Accounts and Supply Chain

Very varied role which will include application support, some software implementation, client training, and possibly some account management. This will suit a candidate who is intrigued by technology and how things work and wants to get involved in the many facets of application software. Salary to £30k plus you have a hire car if you need to make occasional visits to client sites.

The company provides mobile and tablet apps and eCommerce software to retail distributors. They have been in business for over 30 years and have a terrific client base to whom they provide software implementation, application support and training.

You will work with their mobile sales software, which they sell to wholesale and distribution companies and will support the Project Team, but will also give application support to the clients and platform training. You may also assist the pre-sales team with configuring the software for demos, and will have the opportunity to learn MySQL, Perl & PHP and iOS to help with software implementations.

Ideally you will have worked with enterprise application software or ERP or accounting software; you understand business processes (particularly supply chain or distribution) and an understanding of sales order processing and pricing or accounting would be useful. You will have supported application software and some basic knowledge of SQL, database administration and working with large volumes of data would be helpful. You are competent in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and can use CRM systems efficiently.

You will start off learning the sales solution, then doing some application support, then shadowing experienced consultants by the end of month one, and getting involved in client training, telephone support and software implementation. You need excellent communication skills, a passion for technology and the ability to pick up new skills quickly and efficiently.

There will be some travel to client sites, but only 1 day per week or fortnight and a hire car will be provided to cover that.
