My client is one of the UK's upcoming Food FMCG businesses that has grown at a consistent and exciting rate since its arrival in 2011. With turnover already sitting just over £30mil and growing this is an opportunity not to be missed for an entrepreneurial Supply Chain Planner wanting the next step in their career.

Description

The Supply Chain Planner will report directly into the Supply Chain & Procurement Director and will have full responsibility for the supply of their key product ranges, supporting the growth by planning & executing the slickest supply from raw materials through manufacturing and delivery to the warehouse.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Responsible for managing the demand forecast down to customer and SKU level and create the KPI's of forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Reviewing historical sales trends, evaluating demand drivers, preparing forecast data and driving improvements to meet business targets.
  • Provide a monthly accurate demand forecasts which feeds into supply plan and production schedule.
  • Create the Supply Plan and Production schedule, working very closely with production sites to ensure sufficient supply, managing inventory to minimise waste (while still maximising sales, of course!).
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships, acting as a key supply chain contact for our manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Implement sourcing strategies, negotiating cost improvements and managing the supplier contracts.
  • Plan and actively organize the logistics of inbound orders and delivery schedule to ensure all deliveries from all third-party manufacturers are made on time and in full, with appropriate and accurate documents.
  • Produce and manage accurate and timely purchasing documentation e.g. Purchase Ordering
  • Help ensure product flow to market through working collaboratively with our logistics providers to deliver sales orders on time and maintain service levels above 98.5% with all customers.
  • Cover for the other supply chain and procurement team members in their absence, ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly both overseas and in the UK.

Profile

With the business having ambitous growth plans they are seeking candidates passionate about the food sector, entrepreneurial in nature and relentless desire to grow with the company.

  • Has a bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Has a strong background in Demand and Supply planning in a UK FMCG preferably in food & drink supply.
  • Is solution focused and looks to streamline the forecasting and planning processes and improve all metrics.
  • Possesses excellent organisational and time management skills. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
