Role Information

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations/Transport Manager to join our friendly team based in the outskirts of Andover. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for transport, site maintenance, health and safety, managing staff and developing the business. This is a full time position working 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
  • Effectively organise and manage staff, ensuring training is kept up to date and regular meetings held including one to one reviews
  • Plan vehicle maintenance and liaise with on-site mechanics and suppliers
  • Manage transport in accordance with the Operator’s Licence
  • Responsible for organising site maintenance and assisting with stock control
  • Manage driver hours and tachograph data ensuring compliance is met
  • Deal with and resolve enquires and/or complaints in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct sales work during the quieter summer months
  • Co-ordinate with the Managing Director to develop and grow the business

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in managing a fleet and drivers is essential
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred
