HBS Fuels is an independent, family owned business delivering oil and gas to domestic and commercial customers in and around the Hampshire area.
Role Information
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations/Transport Manager to join our friendly team based in the outskirts of Andover. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for transport, site maintenance, health and safety, managing staff and developing the business. This is a full time position working 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday inclusive.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
- Effectively organise and manage staff, ensuring training is kept up to date and regular meetings held including one to one reviews
- Plan vehicle maintenance and liaise with on-site mechanics and suppliers
- Manage transport in accordance with the Operator’s Licence
- Responsible for organising site maintenance and assisting with stock control
- Manage driver hours and tachograph data ensuring compliance is met
- Deal with and resolve enquires and/or complaints in a courteous and professional manner
- Conduct sales work during the quieter summer months
- Co-ordinate with the Managing Director to develop and grow the business
Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in managing a fleet and drivers is essential
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred
