This is a high-profile role within in a rapidly expanding division of a highly successful, €multi-million p.a. t/o, privately owned, global OEM Group which has several sites in the UK.  As a result of phenomenal growth and a full order book, an excellent career development opportunity has arisen for a Site Operations Director to take strategic responsibility for a fast moving, £150m p.a.+ t/o site, employing several hundred people.

Your key focus will be in driving the business strategy for continued growth and delivering on new business opportunities which will demand even more agility as product complexity increases. With exceptional commercial acumen, you will relish the opportunity to manage expansion plans and build a flexible staff base, including a review of existing employment contracts and shift patterns, to ensure that customer demand is met. You will continue to develop World Class operational performance, harnessing the support of a committed and loyal workforce to maximise profitability, improve efficiencies through continuous improvement and foster a customer-focused culture to respond to the needs of the international customer base that it supports. Managing Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, HR and Supply Chain functions, your previous experience of mentoring, coaching and developing teams will be particularly valued in a position where effective succession planning, training and development will be key to achieving the company’s substantial potential.

Ideally degree calibre, with a strong engineering appreciation, and sound financial and commercial acumen, the successful candidate will demonstrate a practical approach to operational and site management, with a strong track record of leading teams to deliver growth, improved operational efficiency and wider plant profitability.

Candidates will have gained their experience in a large, progressive manufacturing/engineering environment, be capable of effectively driving change, with proven experience of introducing and utilising a variety of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
