Our Gloucester based client is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to join the team. You will be a key point of contact for the sales team, technical services, marketing, finance and other departments and is pivotal in the on-going success of the company as a whole. They work to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet each client’s individual needs - whether that’s a wireless network for CCTV backhaul or a satellite communications system for retrieving critical M2M data.

You will primarily be responsible for sales forecasting, analytics, productivity, CRM maintenance, the development and maintenance of Wireless Innovation RFP response factory and internal wiki, development of the tariff building tool and management of the e-commerce platform.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company’s core products via successful completion of required sales training programmes and utilise this knowledge to successfully lead Sales Support operations.
  • Work with the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Sales to create and maintain a world-class sales culture, focused on
  • Consistently ensuring that business is conducted with integrity at all times.
  • Be the co-owner with the designated Business Development Manager of RFP responses, coordinating interdepartmental alignment, pricing and delivery of world class proposal responses.
  • Deliver the mechanics of the Wireless Innovation RFP factory and develop the process and procedure for quick, effective turnaround both directly and in partnership with our strategic alliance partners.
  • Own the e-commerce platform roll-out and associated reporting of sales to the group Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Own the sales forecasting process and lead the sales team efforts on effective use of Salesforce within the organisation.
  • Effectively manage Sales Operations expenses to ensure delivery of internal gross margin goals.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations. • Remain knowledgeable of key processes, business initiatives and internal resources in order to assist the sales team in accomplishing company goals

Key skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Operations Manager within international small and large scale exhibitions.
  • Proven budget planning, control and management skills.
  • Customer focused at all times - for internal show teams, as well as external clients and contractors.
  • Confident team player with a creative and innovative approach.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and energetic individual with confident negotiation and strong decision-making skills.
  • Computer literate, using Excel.
