Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are partnered exclusively with a world leading manufacturing company based in the South Yorkshire region in the recruitment of an Operations Manager. This is an excellent business with a turn over close to £40 million per annum with a headcount of around 350 people.
In this role the Operations Manager will be responsible for all Production, H&S, Quality, Operations & KPI's within the hot metals area.
The Operations Manager will:
-Responsibility for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery and People (SQCDP)
-Drive continuous improvement throughout the business, define the highest standards required
-Performance manage your teams, ensuring that accountability and training are defined and understood. Ensuring development opportunities are identified with HR Dept
-Ensure that effective communication strategies are implemented and maintained throughout the business including appropriate senior-level meetings and employee relations discussions
-Any other adhoc duties as required
We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:
-Degree qualified or equivalent (not essential)
Analytical problem-solving skills (essential)
-A minimum of 10 years' operating at managerial level (essential)
-Strong people management skills (essential)
-Good problem-solving skills
-Ability to analyse data
-Delegate tasks to other team members and follow up completion
-Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
-Organised and methodical approach to each task
-Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
-Willing to take on difficult manufacturing problems and rise to the challenge
-Must be able to work effectively without constant supervision
-Make sound decisions based on available data
