**38 hours per week 7.30am - 4.30pm & 12pm finish on a Friday**

I am seeking an experienced Buyer for my client who are a manufacturer of components for the Aerospace industry. I am seeking someone who can manage the supply of materials to support the companies production requirements whilst maintaining the inventory and control costs
Buyer
Daily task and job responsibilities:
- Management daily SAP ordering system.
- Contract negotiations.
- Monthly adherence to budget cost metrics.
- Control of Material Usage and Price Variance.
- Supplier cost reduction initiatives.
- Monthly supplier reviews / conference calls.
- Provision of ad hock Management information reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Supplier quality adherence.
- Liaising with Production Control Department to ensure key supplies have the latest forecasts.
- General maintenance of SAP data.
- Play an active role in scrap reduction initiatives.
- General support of other department functions as required to cover holidays and absence
- Work closely with Production and Planning departments to avoid manufacturing delays.
- Management of onsite suppliers.
- Any other duties required by the Purchasing Manager.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications required
- Must have experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Must be CIP’s qualified, ideally to level 4
- Must have experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
