REED Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with one of our key clients, based in Northumberland, on a newly created Supply Chain Coordinator vacancy.
Due to their expansion and business growth this is an exciting time to join!
Our client work within the manufacturing sector but someone with a Supply Chain / Purchasing background within Retail would be especially of interest to them.
This is a full-time and permanent role reporting in to the Purchasing Manager but working alongside another Supply Chain Coordinator.
The salary on offer is £25,000 per annum.
Benefits include; Free parking, 2pm Friday finishes, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as childcare vouchers and free employee advice.
Duties will include;
- Co-ordinating implementation of the sourcing and purchasing strategy
- Managing the production and delivery of all products from development stage to point of despatch
- Analysing sales and stock levels
- Prepare and process orders with both UK and International suppliers
- Manage all communications with potential and existing suppliers
- Identify new suppliers through attendance to trade shows, internet research and direct communication
- Negotiate prices with suppliers
- Maintain up to date sourcing records and cost information
- Forecast through Excel offline methods
- Reconcile invoices for payment
- Regular contact with Merchandising, Marketing and New Product Development teams
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with adhoc duties
Person Specification;
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial supply chain role
- Experience of sourcing
- Analytical in approach
- Planning and organisational skills
