Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are exclusively working with a highly successful Imports and Distribution company based in South Yorkshire, in the search for an experienced Procurement professional.

My client is a family run business established over 50 years ago, supplying market leading products across UK and Europe. They have gone through a major period of growth, expanding their product portfolio to maintain at the forefront of their industry.

With continued increase in turnover year on year, they are now in the process of expanding their operation and in addition, are looking to bring in new talent to support the strategic plans of their evolving business.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a newly created role, with responsibility for Purchasing and Inventory across the business.

The successful incumbent will be tasked with achieving competitive costs and developing a robust supply chain, through negotiation and leveraging supplier relationships.
Key objective will be to analyse the existing contracts and agreements with the view to then implement a working process and structure to ensure key measurements are in place to manage spend, stock availability, supplier performance and lead times efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities;

Managing spend across direct product and indirect services
Negotiating costs and Service level agreements with suppliers
Sourcing of new product on an international scale
Agreeing lead times with suppliers in line with customer demand
Introducing process and procedures to reduce inventory and maintain safety stock levels
Influence change and leave methods
Analyse spend to identify areas to reduce cost

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

A minimum of four years' Purchasing / Supply Chain experience
Excellent process management and influential skills
Ability to communicate at all levels and work cross-functionally with other departments
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
Ability to drive change and introduce new process
