Job Title:Purchasing Assistant
Salary:£20,000 - £25,000
Hours:Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm / Friday 9am - 4pm
Location: Tiverton outskirts
A growing company on the outskirts of Tiverton are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to assist the wider Procurement department. This is a role with scope for progression and growth and would suit a candidate looking to continue their career in Purchasing / Procurement.
Day to day you will be liaising with suppliers and customers, answering queries, updating internal systems, issuing samples and other general admiration duties.
Responsibilities:
*End to end process management of purchase orders
*Liaise with suppliers and customers and respond or direct enquires accordingly
*Updating Stock / Inventory records on internal systems
*Processing and log incoming supplier free issue requests
*Providing admin and secretarial support the purchasing function.
*Managing Holiday, Travel, Accommodation and Meeting Room bookings and requests.
*Ensuring that all visitors and telephone calls are handled within agreed company service levels
*Issuing out and administering Confidentiality Agreements
*Preparation of Quotes
Skills and Experience Required:
*Previous experience within Purchasing or similar
*Previous Experience of working within an engineering company (desirable)
*Excellent record keeping and organisational skills
*Dealing with urgent work with confidentiality
*Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office- Specifically Excel Spreadsheets.
*GCSE Grades A-C in English & Maths
*Be driven, methodical and logical
*Ability to prioritise workload
*Be a good team player but also the ability to work independently
*Be a good communicator - Written and Oral
