Buyer - Print & Design

£22k - £26k plus benefits

Work Location: Sheffield - M1

Full time / Permanent role

My client is a leading Print & Design organisation with several sites across the UK and this is an excellent opportunity to join the organisation in Tactical Buying position. The role is within a newly formed centralised procurement team & will be to support tactical procurement across the organisation.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Print purchasing
  • Management of contractual and commercial arrangements
  • Stakeholder management
  • To enforce current policies and procedures relevant to purchasing
  • To ensure customer service excellence for internal stakeholders in response to quotes and delivery of completed works
  • To regularly benchmark/ audit procurement activities and close down areas of leakage/risk
  • To analyse and report on agreed cost saving initiatives
  • To suggest new routes to cost savings
  • To identify and process cost reduction exercises
  • To seek ways of increasing values for money across various expenditure categories
  • Constantly review and update agreements/contracts to achieve best results
  • To create long-term supplier relationships via framework agreements
  • To investigate new or alternative suppliers.
  • To constantly strive to improve relations and terms with approved suppliers.
  • To attend supplier quarterly review meetings.

Key Areas required:-

  • Procurement sector knowledge, multi-site
  • Print management solutions
  • Knowledge of the Outsourcing services, KPI’s and delivering projects
  • A good understanding of supply chain management & potential risks

Who we're looking for:-

An experienced Tactical print buyer, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of print & design supply chain sector. They will have previously worked in a buying role & a proven track record of managing projects, internal stakeholders and cost reduction with financial objectives.
