Do you have previous transport, warehousing, shipping or distribution experience and looking to make your next career move and join a large, fast growing supply chain & logistics company? If so, our client based in Hedge End have a fantastic opportunity for an Inbound Logistics Controller to manage the flow of goods into their 2 warehouses.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing shipments from the Far East into their Southampton warehouses, creating container schedules using Excel and arranging haulage and boking containers into the warehouse.

You will also manage bonded goods, plus control goods under the CFSP Customs regimes, ensuring importers and retailers get their goods on time. You will deal with other freight forwarders and 3PLs, dealing with both ocean and air freight shipments.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous shipping / logistics experience
• Good at problem solving & decision making
• Be able to work as a team and sometimes under pressure
• Good customer services skills
• Good IT knowledge, including Excel

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous scheduling experience (not essential)
