I am currently recruiting for one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering, Plant and Transport specialists. A family run business with over 80 years of trading history, they are currently looking to grow and expand from their current, and already impressive £30m turnover level.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will take full responsibility for the Plant, Haulage and Transport business unit, which is a £10m turnover operation. The Operations Manager will have 4 direct reports (Plant Manager, Transport Manager, Admin Manager and Sales) and a wider team of 20.
This is a newly created role designed to allow further growth of the Plant and Transport business lines, whilst also bringing efficiencies, improved processes and more detailed strategies across Planning, Maintenance, Business Development, Procurement and Finance.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in the Plant & Transport sector, with demonstrable experience of Operational and Strategic Management.
There is a highly competitive salary and package on offer for the successful candidate.
