Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager for a growing import, wholesale, distribution business in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, with a stable growth over recent years the business are undertaking a change management strategy to introduce streamlined SOP's, new WMS systems, warehouse configuration and other optimisations that will bring efficiencies to the operation.
Principal objectives of the role:
As a Warehouse Manager, your primary purpose of this role is to manage change and lead this evolution with the introduction of the new WMS, new barcoding, KPIs, warehouse layouts and CI projects are core to delivering effective ways of working to an existing team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*Work as part of a management team to drive new efficiencies across the operation
*Management of staff and resources to ensure reasons for change are understood, supporting the development of each individual
*Proactive in driving the CI and projects that will drive the growth of the business to meet the needs of the business
*Develop KPIs (key performance indicators) and SLA (service level agreements)
*Train staff and managers to ensure that everyone is performing adequately in their role
*Implementation of any new policies and procedures
*Have ownership of the warehouse optimisation
*Play an active part in the site management
Experience
*Experience leading change projects in a warehouse
*Experience implementing new layouts, systems and performance measures
*Health and safety regulations experience
*Understanding of employment law
*IT skills (Microsoft Office and warehousing systems)
*An innovative, positive and pro-active approach to change
*Ability to perform under pressure
Salary
£35,000 - £40,000
