We are seeking an experienced Sales Operations Manager looking to take the next step and create a new sales operations function in a growing business based in North West Leicestershire.

We are looking for a highly competent Sales Operations Manager to coordinate and enable both our field sales and internal customer service teams. Amongst other tasks this role will involve the enablement and accountability of the sales teams through system implementation, analytics, reporting and a sales and revenue strategy.

This is a unique role in that there is the chance to really build and shape how the commercial function operates. The key tasks or qualities relating to the role are as follows:

  • Support senior management in annual planning and territory activities
  • Utilise our systems to automate our reporting where possible, enabling live real-time data
  • Drive the 'inspect what you expect’ mentality
  • Help drive the cadence from lead generations through opportunity managing and meaningful sales interactions and the forecast
  • Ensure there are regular interactions for large deal reviews, hygiene, etc
  • Monitor regular target reviews for all quota carrying sales persons
  • Drive regular KPIs for helping management run the business
  • Support all sales personnel in identifying key trends between offerings and orders
  • Ensure insights include both leading and trailing indicators
  • Be creative, think of things we have not thought of
  • Ensure that territory structuring, and alignment are efficiently maximised

Desired Experience and qualifications…

  • 2-3 years in a sales operation’s role
  • Educated to degree level in a business or similar subject
  • Demonstrable experience of reporting and production of summary reports and analysis
  • Experience of working across geographic and functional boundaries
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • High level of competence in MS Office applications with specific emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (or similar CRM system) as a sales management tool
