Shipping and Customs Coordinator required. Our client is a London based leading firm which transport some of the world's precious objects. Due to the on-going success and growth of the business our client requires an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join a dynamic and growing team.

As the Shipping Coordinator you will play a critical role in ensuring that their clients comply with all allocable customs, import and export laws regulations. You will assist the project coordinators with organisation and coordinating the transportation and shipping of Fine Art to and from the UK.

Shipping and Customs Coordinator Position Overview

  • Preparation and execution of essential shipping paperwork (imports & exports)
  • Input export & Import customs entries to ASM system
  • Requesting internal resources required to carry out each job to meet strict deadlines
  • Liaise with departments across the business to ensure jobs run smoothly
  • Making and taking of supplier calls and negotiation of shipping rates
  • Advising coordinator of flight options and rates in addition to the above

Shipping and Customs Coordinator Position Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role within the shipping / freight industry
  • Knowledge of airfreight and customs processes
  • A methodical approach, with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills both internally and externally.

Shipping and Customs Coordinator Position Remuneration

  • Salary £30,000 - £34,000 (Dependant on experience)
  • Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30
  • 23 days' annual leave, increasing 1 day per year
