Procurement Assistant – 12 month FTC – Swadlincote - £22,000
A fabulous opportunity to join a well renown business as a procurement assistant has arisen to cover maternity on a 12 month FTC.
This role has the responsibility for coordinating procurement activities throughout the business and providing administrative support to the Procurement Manager.
This role would suit someone with a background in purchasing with strong administrative skills. You will be enthusiastic, determined and have bags of energy.
Key duties include:
• Establishing strong internal customer and supplier relationships at all levels
• Lead and execute tendering, negotiating, contracting activities on significant spend areas within their nominated categories, identify opportunities within their categories to drive performance in supply, cost, quality and innovation
• Regular analysis of supplier spend and volume data
We are seeking someone with great attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills, you will build on and maintain existing relationships with suppliers and other departments.
With a focussed ‘can do' attitude, you will be self-motivated with an ability to prioritise your workload and see all tasks through to completion.
In return a salary of up to £22,000 is offered along with 23 days holiday increasing to 28 in the second year plus bank holidays.
