Senior Sourcing Manager for handling procurement in the UK

Do you have a commercial mindset and strong negotiation competences, and are you a team player capable of strengthening the team and building strong stakeholder relations?

Join us and become Senior Sourcing Manager in UK Procurement, a part of Indirect Procurement, where you’ll be responsible for strategic sourcing and category management of assigned categories. Indirect Procurement leads and facilitates sourcing within categories such as audit and financial advisory services, management consulting, HR services, legal services, facility management, travel, marketing, etc. The sourcing activities will support the company’s activities in the UK, leading strategic sourcing within the UK categories and leading group-wide sourcing categories.

Your key tasks will be to

  • handle indirect procurement in the UK and the following categories on a global level: fuel, HR, pension and insurance, and car leasing
  • be accountable for strategic sourcing, contracting and supplier management for Indirect Procurement and be accountable for the overall development and implementation of sourcing strategies and supply market intelligence
  • lead and deliver entire strategic sourcing projects from start to finish, including analysing and assisting stakeholders in the development of specifications and statements of work
  • identify, implement and realise value through effective ‘strategic cost management’ utilising best-in-class methods (e.g. should cost) and tools (e.g. Scanmarket, e-auctions)
  • handle contract management, including negotiation of terms and conditions and implementation of agreements.

You’ll participate actively in capability development of the department and Indirect Procurement as well as in company networks where you’ll share information, best practices and lessons learned. 

Your competences include that you

  • have a relevant master’s degree in supply chain management, finance or business law
  • preferably have MCIPS, CPM, APCIPS or equivalent qualifications
  • have experience with developing contracts, including framework (service) agreements
  • are skilled within contract negotiation, execution and management
  • have experience with developing sourcing strategies and bid lists for routine contracts and obtaining qualification and award criteria.

Moreover, you have a strong business acumen enabling you to ensure that your spend analyses and reporting are business relevant and warranting that you focus on adding value in all your activities.
