Purchasing Manager based in Bromsgrove offering an attractive basic salary, bonus scheme and pension, plus other company benefits.

As the Purchasing Manager you will have control of company purchasing, working closely with the product development manager and the purchasing team. Your role will be to get to grips with stock control, understanding and managing supplier performance on lead times, costs and quality.

 

The ideal Purchasing Manager:

  • 5 years + experience in purchasing.
  • Experience in the automotive industry advantages but not essential.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attentions to detail.
  • Very good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good and clear communication skills.

 

The role of Purchasing Manager:

  • Review and develop the companies purchasing strategies and procedures.
  • Managing stock control preventing over and under stocking.
  • Manage second line suppliers to prevent shortfalls on product lines.
  • Keeping the sales and purchase team informed regarding order lead times.
  • Ensuring the products are purchased at the most competitive prices without compromising quality.
  • Driving our image for a quality product by liaising closely with the Quality Control Manager.
  • Working closely with the product development team to be at the forefront of bringing new products to market.
  • Risk management on bulk purchasing.
