Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Shift Manager:
- To maximise the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities
- providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements, operational performance
- To successfully manage the team in line with company operating systems and all other policies and procedures
- You will be responsible for abiding by, and ensuring compliance with, the company's Privacy Notice, Information Security Controls and Email, Internet and Databases Policy
- Budget management within the responsibility of the role
- Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
- Team building and morale management
- Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment within your shift
- Maximise accuracy, productivity and space utilization
- Ensure daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished
The ideal Shift Manager will have the following:
- Management experience within a fast-paced and high-volume logistics operation
- Commercially switched on with a track record in working to a budget and running cost saving exercises
- Experienced in objective setting
- Has previously done workload planning
- Knowledge in preventative maintenance routines
- Strong management experience of performance measures and KPIs
- Well versed in developing a team
