They seek an experienced Tax Specialist (Import/Export) to join our team. Operating on an international scale, you will ensure all shipments to all operating companies and third-party customers are compliant with all legal requirements for both the UK and destination countries. You will also have a wide remit to provide advice on importing goods to purchasing teams and tax advice as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all exports are fully compliant with HMRC requirements and with the destination country customs rules and regulations
- Liaising with operating companies and third-party customers over specific requirements for documentation
- Communicating with operating companies over customer service related issues
- Liaising with Planners to ensure realistic/correct information is given to customers
- Ensuring all information passed to the operating companies is accurate and visible to the whole team
- Expediting customer orders
- Cross functional working with EDM and Oil & Gas teams
- Developing and improving existing processes to optimise accuracy and efficiency
