Project Buyer job in Swindon, £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, 12-month contract

Hays Procurement are pleased to be assisting an organisation in Swindon in the recruitment of a Project Buyer to join their busy team.

Your new role

You will manage a portfolio of product rationalisation projects ensuring successful delivery and support, manage the procurement end to end sourcing activities and process for product rationalisation as well as identify potential suppliers, prepare and manage the RFQ, supplier evaluation and scorecard processes.

You will also actively engage with Product Management and Global Supply Management to successfully deliver project completion, undertake and maintain market analysis, supplier comparisons and bench marking to validate current costs and identify opportunities along with ensuring that customer requirements are met.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous Buying experience in a procurement role or function managing end-to-end sourcing projects, supplier negotiations and developing strategic relationships as well as being able to work in a dual reporting matrix environment and take the lead on implementation of procurement opportunities that affect numerous lines of business.

What you'll get in return

This role is being offered with the salary between £30,000 - £35,000 on a 12-month fixed term contract.
