Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum plus fully expensed vehicle
Role: Permanent

Overview

Our client is one of the most well-known supply chain and logistics brands within the country. With over 2,500 vehicles and over 25 distribution centres across the UK and Europe, our client is a proud partner for several high-profile business across the UK and beyond.

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operations Manager for their high-profile Warrington site. With over 145,000 square foot of storage space and being the base for 150 vehicles and 250 members of staff, the Warrington site plays a big role in keeping our clients’ customers happy.

We’ll look for you to bring your previous Logistics experience to make sure the full operation of the site runs smoothly. This is a real opportunity to come into a flagship depot, continue to develop and grow the business and really make an impact with a business which puts people at the heart of its strategy.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Have at least two years’ experience working within a large-scale Logistics environment
  • Managed a site of over 100 vehicles and have good knowledge of compliance and legislation
  • An International CPC Qualification is essential for this role
  • A strong people manager, who can motivate, develop and manage a diverse group of employees
  • Experience of managing budgets and working towards KPI’s
  • A commercial awareness – able to look at costs, business growth and spot external revenue opportunities
  • Evidence of translating strategy into operational procedures
  • Pro-active leader with the ability to deliver accurate results and reports
  • Exhibit a high degree of flexibility and be able to work as part of a team
The Role – Key Responsibilities:
  • Will be able to engage, lead and develop colleagues across the depot
  • Take responsibility for the full operation of the warehouse, including the standards of the depot, maintenance and Health & Safety, as well as monitoring costs and managing the site’s KPI’s
  • Fleet management and responsibility for a 150-vehicle operation
  • Ensure that Working Time regulations are adhered to across the depot team
  • Have overall accountability for labour management
  • Be able to communicate and build relationships with all colleagues
