I am recruiting for a Client near Diss who are looking to add an Assistant to the Procurement and Contracts Manager to assist with various duties relating to purchasing and stock control on a part time basis. You will be assisting with administration and organisation of sub-contract work and all aspects of purchase ordering and progressing. The Salary will be would be £24,000 - £26,000 fulltime equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Responsible for purchasing with specific suppliers, building a lasting relationship to ensure best price and time schedules are met
•Raising various orders, supplying of P/O and updating MRP system as required
•Running MRP reports and taking necessary action
•Working to ensure all internal stock levels are sufficient to satisfy orders as required
•Responsible for checking that parts kits are correct using Engineering Drawings
•Control of internal stock and parts kits for sub assembly shipments
•Carry out goods receiving on the system of services and various other orders ready for invoice passing.
•Regular stock checks on some consumables
•Placing UK subcontracting orders and to help co-ordinate deliveries.
•Collecting of urgently required parts within the UK on occasion
•After training, covering other team members during periods of absence
•Various other adhoc duties relating to the department
