Interim Delivery Manager

Our client delivers training and consultancy on equality and diversity across a range of organisations. They have a diverse client base which encompasses the public, private and voluntary sectors, Training courses, programmes, workshops and consultancies.

The Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all organization functions including business development, operations, administration of training delivery, course delivery and client management.

Job Description
Organisation management and service delivery
• Line manage and manage the workload of the Administration team to ensure all staff are aware of their actions and responsibilities with regard to service delivery and that they deliver against deadlines, targets and quality expectations. This includes bookings, liaison with clients, training logistics information, evaluations, booking actors, enquiries.
• Work closely with the Training Director to ensure that overall delivery of the services, including training, projects, consultancy and coaching, is effective and of high quality.
• Ensure the organisation’s database system is being used effectively and consistently and run reports /checks to ensure its accuracy.
• Ensure good communications and systems are in place to effectively support the Managing Director, Training Director, internal training, projects and admin teams and the Associate Trainers. This includes team meetings, trainer briefings, phone catch-ups with the Directors, operational catch ups with staff and supervisions.
• Oversee the effective management of all office contracts, health and safety and office issues, supporting the Administrative & Office Support Assistant to deliver on her outcomes.
• Support projects delivery, ensuring they are delivered on time, to a high quality and to budget and that key internal and external stakeholders are involved and/or kept updated on progress as appropriate.
• Oversee the financial management processes, including invoicing, payments, VAT, accounts etc. effectively supporting the Administrator & Finance Office to delivery on her outcomes.
• Ensure the Administrator & Executive Assistant meets her outcomes in relation to effectively supporting the Managing Director and Training Director.
• Ensure key internal stakeholders are involved and/or kept updated on progress as appropriate
• Develop new systems and processes as identified and required.
Business development and client management
• Manage the business development and client management workload for the team, ensuring opportunities are followed up in a timely and appropriate manner and systems and processes are followed.
• Support the organisation’s business development by overseeing the development and production of successful proposals and responses to services enquiries by the team which are generated through tender portals, meetings, events, previous clients etc and ensure they are written to a high quality standard, editing the team’s work as required and writing new proposals if needed.
• Oversee the preparation of documents for bid interviews and ensure the attendees are fully briefed in a timely manner.
• Lead responsibility for ensuring the business development systems and processes are kept accurate, up-to-date and provide reports and information as required.
• Manage the client management system for the Administration team and review and re-allocate clients as necessary.
Staff management
• Effectively support staff by developing and agreeing annual objectives and targets, reviewing progress on a regular basis, having regular operational catch ups, giving feedback and ensuring training and development needs are implemented
• Work with staff to update appraisal documentation to make it fit for purpose and use on an annual basis
• Provide updates to the Directors about staff issues as needed

Experience of managing a team to deliver projects and/or services

Experience of line managing staff to ensure their and the organisation’s objectives are met

 Experience of working with a management team to deliver the organisation’s aims

Experience of producing reports and/or proposals

Part-time, 30-35 hours a week
Full time employees are entitled to 20 days holiday in each Holiday Year plus Bank and other statutory holidays occurring during the course of your employment, part time employees receive a pro-rata entitlement.

Salary: £35,000 per annum pro rata
