We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a new Supply Chain team in Stanley Green, Wilmslow.


The role is primarily responsible for purchasing materials into the business to support demand and to ensure appropriate stock levels at all times. You will need to strive for excellence in customer service whilst maintaining appropriate stock levels working in a challenging commercially dynamic business.

Key Tasks:

+ Manage a portfolio of products ensuring products are delivered OTIF. Working closely with the commercial team to understand the organics industry & crop seasons.
+ Understand system parameters and adjust accordingly when demand has changed.
+ Coordinate logistical movements across geographical regions, manage the documentation required for importing and exporting goods (including organic certifications)
+ Work closely with the customer service team across Europe (your customer) to ensure they have enough information to offer a high service level to the end customer.
+ Using your own initiative to look for new ways to improve processes whilst keeping stock levels appropriate, achieving KPI such as percentage of stock availability.
+ Manage and reconcile stocks at 3rd party warehouse via VMI stock management process.
+ Cover the Supply Chain Manager’s role as and when required

A confident experienced individual comfortable in a business environment with an awareness of the needs of the business and an understanding of the importance of balance. To listen to the challenges of any situation and offer resolutions whilst remaining inside the guidelines of bringing stock into the business. 

We are seeking an individual with good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work alone when required. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast moving environment dealing with many day-to-day challenges using their own initiative. It is essential they are self-motivated, focused, flexible, numerate, possess excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate accurately and effectively
