Senior Buyer

The Company:

Nigel Wright Supply Chain And Procurement Division are working exclusively with a well respected manufacturer to recruit a Senior Buyer.

The Role:

Reporting to a member of the Senior Management Team, key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a small team
• Managing all Indirect Procurement including categories such as utilities, plant, MRO, general supplies etc.
• New supplier sourcing, running end to end tender process
• Supplier management and performance reviews
• Regular liaison with Engineering and Production Teams to understand procurement specifications

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience within Indirect purchasing at a senior level OR an experienced Buyer who is ready to take on additional responsibility
• Manufacturing sector experience would be beneficial although candidates with Indirect procurement experience from other industries will be considered
• Excellent communicator - able to communicate well a variety of internal stakeholders
• Team player
• Strong leader
