Planning Coordinator – Supply Chain
Circa £20,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Bolton
The Candidate
Your skills, experiences and attributes will include.
- Experience of MRP/ERP/Forecasting/WMS systems ideally SAP
- Previous stock management experience
- Purchasing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Pleasant demeanour - working well in a team environment.
- Customer focused.
- IT Literate with good Excel skills
- Good standard of education.
The Role
Your duties will include...
- To assist the Planning Manager in achieving business objectives.
- Container management, tracking and reporting incl. Inbound delivery management.
- Supplier ordering and purchase order management.
- Container management through liaison with 3PL transport and warehouse
- Inbound delivery management ensuring accurate delivery dates
- Maintenance of systems information and parameters
- Processing of requisitions to purchase orders for suppliers
- Chase suppliers for product where required.
- Reschedule products where applicable to ensure stock targets are achieved
- Re-allocation of stock to ensure optimum order fulfilment
- Reporting of relevant stock outs, stock levels and supplier issues
- Ensure that communications to internal customers is sufficient so that they feel they have all the relevant information.
- Liaise with Suppliers and Customers

Our client is a leading supplier within its field, distributing to a number of retailers across the country. They have recently expanded into a new distribution centre and have been operational for over 30 years. Due to a restructure they are looking for a Planning Coordinator to join its team.
