Your new company
A reputable house-builder based in Doncaster are now recruiting for a Buyer. A well-established and highly regarded organisation, they are undertaking several exciting projects across South Yorkshire. . Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious Buyer who is eager to join an established business.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Senior Buyer you will provide weekly and monthly reports on the cost and progress of projects. Our client requires a procurement specialist to join their commercial team and assess requirements for materials and sub-contractor packages on a variety of projects. This is an office-based role where you will be responsible for arranging the cost effective purchase of the materials to an acceptable quality standard as well as negotiating and agreeing sub-contractor packages.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a third level degree in a construction related discipline, and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in procurement for a main contractor or house-builder. You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure effective communication with the operational team and subcontractors on a daily basis. You must be ambitious, commercially astute, and keen to establish yourself as a Buyer with a successful business who will be offering you a long-term view.
