Sourcing Specialist - Global FMCG Major - £40k + Excellent Benefits Package - Northampton

Following extensive investment and restructuring in their procurement function, iconic FTSE 100 Giant are targeting critical hires to join their expanding team. You will have a unique opportunity to quickly progress, with clearly mapped career progression to promotion, while working in a newly created position covering their highest spend area within raw materials.

Key procurement responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global sourcing to achieve cost reduction targets and retaining supplier performance
• Assistant in supplier negotiations to ensure value-adding business requirements are met
• Identify and strategically source new goods and services while evaluated supplier capabilities
• Lead sourcing strategies, while overseeing the end-to-end procurement process
• Understand key stakeholder challenges and requirements to help win support for more far-reaching procurement projects

Desirable skills and attributes:

• Strong procurement and strategic sourcing experience, with tangible achievements to match
• A proven track record of progression, with at least 2 years specialising in procurement
• An ambitious and bright individual with a passion for procurement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Degree / MCIPS qualification desirable, though not essential
